China's Jobless Youth and 15-Hour School Days
A video compiling young people collapsed or sleeping on streets in Wuhan, Shanghai and Shenyang circulated with a figure of 24.1 million homeless, and a Chinese student's description of six-day, fifteen-hour school weeks as 'a prison' was translated into Japanese. The 24.1 million figure has no traceable source. Japanese commenters spent most of their words comparing the two countries, usually to Japan's disadvantage.
