An AI-generated satirical anime music video called 'Seabed Inventory,' which spread from the Chinese platform Bilibili, went viral on Japanese social media. Viewers split between praising the craft and sharpness of the satire and warning that it is one-sided anti-Japan messaging. Who made the clip and to what end is not established, and the original lyrics and an official translation are not available.
Two China stories landed in Japan on the same day: leaked footage said to show a CCP flood-rescue being staged for the cameras, and a Chinese outlet reporting that Japan is 'panicking' over a sharp drop in Chinese tourists. Reactions mixed sardonic distrust of Chinese information control with a running argument that the tourism 'panic' is spin — Japanese netizens say Western and Southeast Asian visitors have filled the gap. The tourist decline is documented, but the 'staged rescue' whistleblower's alleged disappearance is unverified.
