Reports circulated that the IOC might strip South Korea's London 2012 football bronze over a sex-bribery scandal; netizens eyed a possible bump-up for Japan while others noted no official ruling exists.
Reports described a nationwide fuel crisis in Russia — rationing, purchase limits, and brawls at gas stations — driven largely by Ukrainian drone strikes on refineries, with Putin himself admitting shortages. Japanese netizens framed the crisis as self-inflicted and blasted the IOC's decision as money-driven.
