Co-pilot Stabs Captain on Flydubai Flight; Trump's 'Plumber' Tale Goes Viral in Japan
On Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Israel, the co-pilot stabbed the captain in a suspected attempt to bring down the plane, but it landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with no passenger casualties; the airline has not confirmed a motive. President Trump then said, citing Netanyahu, that an Israeli plumber with no flying experience saved the jet. Japanese netizens turned the 'plumber' into a Nintendo Mario meme while others doubted the story, and some weighed the real aviation-security questions.
