Red Cross Vans Blocked in Ceuta, Hijabs in Japanese Convenience Stores
Video spread in Japan of residents in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta tracking and blocking Red Cross vehicles to halt their operations. In the same stretch of days FamilyMart wrote hijab-wearing into its staff dress code, drawing a widely quoted post from commentator Hiroyuki, and a government working group held its first meeting on who bears responsibility for Japanese-language learning by foreign residents. The three are separate events.
