Mechaike's Old Sketches Draw Overseas Backlash
Clips from old sketches on Fuji TV's Mechaike circulated on X from 28 August and drew criticism from overseas users who called the violence played for laughs indefensible. In Japanese threads the dominant answer was that the sketches parodied a Showa-era father figure and that applying present-day standards after the fact is not a real argument.
