China's 'Tick' Cyberattacks and the '64' Radio Raid
A report revealed the China-linked spy group 'Tick' had targeted some 200 sites including Mitsubishi Electric and JAXA, and a suspected SDF USB-malware infection sharpened criticism of Japan's lax security. Around the same time, the official account for voice actor Hina Yomiya's radio show was raided by Chinese netizens simply because it was the '64th' episode — a number evoking the June 4 (6/4) Tiananmen crackdown. The threat and the absurdity got discussed side by side, with calls for an anti-espionage law running alongside mockery of China's oversensitivity.
