Tokyo University Disciplines a 'Tiananmen' Professor as Faith in China Business Cools
Tokyo University disciplined a professor who embedded the string 'June Fourth Tiananmen' in a graduate admissions page's source code, which could block viewing through China's censorship. Netizens read the punishment as deference to China, while a separate survey showing only 1% of 1,364 Japanese firms expect China's economy to improve fed a broader cool-down on China business.
